Snap-Its (aka Color Changers)

JMad Creations, LLC. (JMC)'s innovation of Snap-Its (formerly Color Changers) is envisioned as a moment-to-moment customizable shoe for kids, adults, and athletes. Using a simple smart phone app and a snap of the camera (or the touch of a button and other options), JMC's technology physically changes the color of the wearer's shoes to match their clothing, mood, or style whenever and where ever they are.

As JMC developed this technology into multiple functional demo prototypes, the innovation evolved into customizing other products, such as beach balls, inner tubes, baseball caps, skate boards, dog collars, pet products, holiday decorations, and entertainment items (wrist slap sticks), etc. This technology in its light emitting format can be seen in the videos and informational documents below.

As if customizing a shoe and other products with a fresh solid color every moment wasn't enough, JMC continued the development to include additional customization features. JMC added real FFT beat matching effects for dance parties, the ability to create custom patterns (or use some of the many pre-installed patterns), share designs with friends, and give the shoes a mood of their own (or matched to the wearer).

JMC's innovation and design was taken a step further to cater to wearers that want a traditional fabric look, but still desire the same customization of color as LED models provide. JMC began development efforts to develop a shoe that still uses the same simple smart phone app and a snap of the camera to physically change color, but without emitting any light, similar to traditional dyed fabric. This technology is called phonotic-ink and provides the wearer with the customization technology of the future.

JMC has been issued two US patents for its Snap-Its innovation, one for the light emitting (LED) version and one for the photonic ink version.

For those who are tired of the same old color shoes that only match one or two sets of clothing, or are tired of buying a pair of shoes to match each set of clothing in the closet. JMC made these problems become part of history with the novel Snap-Its innovation designed for all ages.
