JMad Creations, LLC. (JMC) has been developing a novel melanin bias reducing pulse oximeter (non-invasive device for measuring blood oxygen saturation) as well as new complementary patient monitoring technology, which includes advancements in ECG (heart monitoring), wireless monitors, and other monitoring technologies. JMC has been issued two US patents on this technology and has multiple additional patents pending both in the US and abroad. This technology reduces the effect of higher concentrations of melanin (darker skin tones) on the accuracy of pulse oximetry readings.
